She's been working with Shriners to spotlight their incredible mission of giving life-changing treatment to young patients, no matter their family's financial situation. Back-to-School with an affirmation from this diverse youth panel that kids everywhere are never too young to create, to lead, to empower, and to influence! Thank you 5th Element's Leaders Who Care (LWC) for giving today's youth this platform to speak their minds, share their hearts and work, and together make an impact one kid at a time! 🤓🤓🤓🤓

We extended love+light and a hand to the most vulnerable by visiting the orphanage Le Cri de l'Orphelin in KDRC on the special occasion of the new school year! We donated school supplies, our books (translated in French!), and essential food staples to support their well-being and brighten their day. The children were visibly moved! We hope to keep planting seeds of success and joy in the hearts of these precious Congolese children. Their knowing that they are not forgotten was immense to us. 🥹

Thank you amazing Waldorf School of the Peninsula's ethereal gift store for carrying our books along with magical Waldorf education supplies, inspiring natural materials, and handmade treasures that foster creativity, imagination, self-care and inner development. It is humbling for us to find our books sitting alongside hard-to-find books from Steiner Books and other inspirational authors whose storylines and artwork support healthy Waldorf lifestyle. 

Where it all started ... full circle! Throwback to when Skyler was just  3 years old, she would visit Face In A Book every week with her parents to find and read her favorite books! Today, at age 10, she returns to her childhood space of joy as an author and her books are available there for the next generation of young minds.

As August ends, students, teachers, and parents everywhere gear up for a new school year - a time of year that can bring about many changes, stressors, and feeling overwhelmed. Skye+Fam led a powerful 'Back-2-School Affirmations Collage' Workshop based on our books with Storytimes and hands-on Crafting at Fairytale Town. 100s of kids who visited the Story Center left with a positive sense of back-2-school identity, self-esteem, and practical tools to reduce stress, love themselves and learning!

Readathon 2023 - Read, Raise Funds, and Save Lives! So honored to lead this year's Pratham Readathon to help raise funds and awareness that every kid who loves to read can make a real difference by simply dedicating themselves to 30 minutes of reading a day. While deepening their awareness of the educational needs of millions of peers around the world who are supported by Pratham, our kids are also deepening their own communication, presentation, activism, and fundraising skills.  

There are strong children who spend their childhood in a hospital healing from complex health conditions - so much so that the hospital has a full school onsite ensuring that the children's learning and education doesn't get impacted as they heal. Thank you Shriner's family for keeping these brave children in your world-class and kid-friendly care regardless of the family's ability to pay! We couldn't be more humbled to have our books in your schools and activity centers serving comfort and joy.
